About the Author
Debra F. Knight—known as “Debbie” to friends and “Grandma Bee” to those who love her best—grew up in the quiet charm of Gruver, Texas, where faith, family, and community shaped her from the start. A lifelong lover of Jesus and a joyful servant in ministry since the 1980s, Debbie continues to pour out wisdom, warmth, and encouragement wherever God places her.
These days, you’ll find her either at home or at church—and sometimes both, as she and her husband now host a growing home fellowship. Surrounded by children, grandchildren, and the goodness of God, she’s spending her golden years doing what she loves most: sharing the beauty of the Gospel and the love of Jesus with everyone around her.
What Inspired the Book
The Colors of the Son was born from a simple moment—Debbie sitting quietly with the Lord, asking Him to show her more of who He is. What followed was a cascade of colors, each one carrying a glimpse of Jesus’ heart, His story, and His presence. What began as a personal time of prayer and reflection soon became a beautiful message she felt called to share—first with her grandchildren, and now with families everywhere. This book is her offering of love, wonder, and worship—a way to help the next generation see Jesus in full color.
